GIANT ELECTRIC DIDDLEY BOW (2012)

Collaboration with Kim Chayeb.

Kim and I collaborated on this 8.5 foot long electric diddley bow. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s basically a very simplified version of a guitar.

The plywood is hand-cut. We connected a contact microphone that Kim made in her sound class to the wire and hooked it up to an amp. We also made three different sized sliders out of scrap metal.
